1 Corinthians 13:7 NLT

Oh yeah...the history repeats itself

That's the claim in the book of Ecclesiastes. The book so motivates me that I finish reading it repeatedly, and every round I learn new things (or simply absorb the remaining portion).

Well, ages past there happens the injustice, there's a great distinction between being a rich and a poor, and oppressor and the oppressed, the happy-go-lucky goer, the silly smile-always person, and hardworking person (as well as lazybones), the good and evil.

It shows so much contrast, and wisdom is compared to the foolishness. Yet both parties share the same fate, it is that both will die anyway.

The ideas are nice, the concept is good to the ears, there's no harm understanding all these, but one mustn't repeat the same mistakes in the past.

I remembered a saying by a trainer of teaching and learning programme hosted in my institution, something like

"The problem nowadays is that our generation [students] barely read, and how can we expect our generations to advance without reading?"

As an educator (soon to be, practically), I have the heart that students may equip themselves with relevant knowledge in their university years, whatever specialization they intend to further next time. Learning should make much sense by make it known to them the relevancy and usefulness of these knowledge when they go out to the workforce.

Should it make sense, that we push our young generation towards heavy written-examination assessed method. People who don't realise this may regard passing exams as the fundamental, and perhaps the only, requirement to be fit for working.

Meanwhile the generic skills, particularly the communication skill as my main research interest were rarely and poorly developed during my university journey. Presentations need not necessary make them prepared, nor does mandatory speech classes. Look at the enrollment rate of communication-based soft-skill, it's so few that the institutions decide to cancel the deal and focus on other fields.

Some are outspoken, some are timid, so their words are few. Some talk at the wrong time, and remain quiet when they are expected to raise an opinion. If this is normally distributed, we should expect, as James C. McCroskey claimed, one out of 5 acquaintances is communication apprehensive.
This, would be the study I go for, to study the cause, and possibly effect of communication apprehension.
